Jeff Wall, a Canadian photographer from Vancouver BC, is best known for his photographs that display Vancouver's natural beauty, and urban decay. Born september 29th 1946, Wall received his popularity in the late 1970s for his one of a kind photographs.The artist experimented with conceptual art while an undergraduate student at UBC. Wall then made no art until 1977, when he produced his first backlit phototransparencies. In 2002, he was awarded the
Hasselblad Award In 2006, then made a Fellow of the
Royal Society of Canada.
